It’s time for your Boudoir session prep!
So you’ve booked a Boudoir session. What’s next?
Today let’s talk about preparing for your Boudoir session! Here are 3 things you can do to prepare for it.
1. Sunscreen! Sunscreen! Sunscreen!
I can’t stress the importance of sunscreen! With our super sunny summers here sunburn is bound to happen. Or at least tan lines. However, tan lines are totally okay – it’s the burning we want to avoid Burned skin can become hard to correct and creates coarse texture. We want to avoid this so please remember to wear a hat, sunscreen and stay hydrated.
2. Eat A Yummy Meal! And Drink Lots of Water!
One of the most frequent comments I hear with Boudoir is clients not wanting to eat beforehand. For instance, there is a huge misconception that eating before your shoot will make you look bloated. This is NOT true and I highly encourage you eat a full meal before arriving. A lot of the poses need to be held for a while and sessions have been compared to a workout.
Water is important too! Lots and lots of water! Please feel free to bring along a bottle with you to your session as well.
3. Be Kind To Yourself.
Though Boudoir is an empowering experience, it is easy to criticize ourselves or doubt ourselves beforehand. Remember to be kind to yourself. You are doing an exciting thing! Above all, I am proud of you for stepping out of your comfort zone
Here are some self love affirmations to tell yourself:
- I am doing the best I can.
- I am learning to love myself more every day.
- I am beautiful inside and out.
- I am enough.
